Afternoon delight. High Tide Mount Holly Oxbow Channel

Later on this month there will be a fact-finding paddle around the Rancocas Creek Water Trail by local elected officials and some other folks. Volunteers, scouts and some other stakeholders have been putting in trail-markers, removing trash and otherwise “sprucing” up segments of the Rancocas. The fact-finding paddle is purposefully being kept low key.

Enhancing public access on the RCWT is the top agenda item followed by stops at way-points and heritage area for discussions on issues faced w the designation of the Rancocas as a National Water Trail. As such there will be a work party removing the vile, disgusting graffiti sprayed under a bridge on the Mt. Holly Oxbow by people in kayaks or a boat. These type of incidents are the very reason areas are closed to public access. They are counter-productive to maintaining public access.

Work Party will be on Friday 10 AM and Saturday 10 AM. Anticipate taking 2-3 hrs each day to remove it. Meet at the gravel parking lot in Mill Race Village next to 25 B Church Street. Supplies to remove this “purposeful rinky-dink” will be supplied. Drop John Anderson a text at 609-456-9344 if you have any questions on the fact finding paddle and or the removal of graffiti. This afternoon’s paddle around Mt. Holly.
