Delaware River and Rancocas commerce, prosperity and industrialization is/was driven by maritime commerce. Rancocas Creek tides first explored by Swedes around 1613. Sailing vessels sailed the Rancocas to the Delaware River until the 1920’s. Into the 1970’s for certain towns along the Creek. Today tugboats carry heritage and traditions on the Delaware River. Rancocas Creek vibrant, dynamic heritage carries her waters and tides into out future.
